VolleyDogs look to carry ‘mo’

The Bearden VolleyDogs finish the regular season strong with three wins to end with a 26-14 overall record.

Bearden is hoping momentum will carry over into the District 4-AAA Tournament where action concludes Thursday, Oct. 11.

“We had Senior Night on Thursday and they played really well, so that probably helps our confidence going in,” Bearden head coach Jennifer Allen said.

The VolleyDogs picked up a 2-0 win against Halls Thursday, Oct. 4 at home in the final regular season game. On Wednesday, Oct. 3, Bearden traveled to Central and won 2-0.

Bearden opened the week with a 2-1 win at West Monday, Oct. 1. Senior Brittany Basham had 10 points, six assists and three aces. Freshman Tara Robertson had eight points, five kills and four aces.

“The senior all played pretty well and Robertson had a really good week,” the coach said.
