• BROGAN, Myrtle Ethel,
age 93, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007. She was a member of Hines Valley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, George Brogan; and her daughter, Edna Brooks. Survived by her sons, Bill Brogan and wife, Ruby of Maryville, J.C. and fiancée, Rhonda Williams of Knoxville; daughter, Magnolia Patty and husband, Calvin of Knoxville; son-in-law, Leo Brooks of Knoxville; sisters, Della Mae Phillips of Maryville and Rosetta Coppock of Friendsville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. The family received friends Tuesday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services were Wednesday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Marietta Cemetery. • FERNANDEZ, Jennifer,
age 20, died unexpectedly Oct. 28, 2007. She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral. Jennifer was a graduate of West High School and a student at The University of Tennessee. Her survivors include her parents, Hector and Martha Fernandez; brother, Jonathan; and sister, Janet; a grandfather; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. • PARRIS, Maude Evelyn McMurray,
age 90, of Chesnee, S.C., passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 in Knoxville. Maude was a member of Arrowwood Baptist Church for 70 years. She was a devoted choir member and Sunday School teacher. Maude enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, crafts, music and her pets. Preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Parris; infant son; parents; brother and sister. Survivors: children and spouses; Bruce Parris of Chesnee, Mikel and Carolyn Parris of Inman, S.C., Rita and Bruce Mason of Knoxville; grandchildren, Grant Mason, Scott and Shane Parris and Michele Jolley; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and JoAnn McMurray; several nieces, nephews and cousins; brother-in-law, Watson Parris; sister-in-law, Betty Skinner. The family received friends Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs, S.C. Funeral service was Friday at Arrowwood Baptist Church in Chesnee, with interment following at Spring Hill Memorial Gardens. • LONG, Tammy,
age 47, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Tammy was a member of West Park Baptist Church and active with the youth and her Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Gordon Mullins. Tammy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jeff Long; son, Chase Long; and daughter, Marybeth Long; mother, Mary Elizabeth Mullins; brothers, John and Ken Mullins; sisters, Connie Stanley, Tina Frazier and Debbie Robinette; and several nieces and nephews, special friends Lynn Hollingsworth, Cindy Cook and many other special and dear friends too numerous to mention. The family received friends Friday at West Park Baptist Church with services to follow. Family and friends assembled Saturday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a interment service. • PASSONS, David Richard,
age 72, of Lenoir City, formerly of Sparta, passed away suddenly early Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, 2007. David was a member of the Virtue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of the Lions Club and was an avid golfer. David was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University. He was retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems, Inc., and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. David was preceded in death by his parents, James Monroe Passons and Varina Mai Rawlston Passons; brother, James Thomas (Jim) Passons. Survivors: wife of 50 years, JoAnn Trobaugh Passons; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Virginia Passons, Donald and Betty Passons, all of Sparta, Joan Passons of Farragut; several nieces and nephews.
