• The University of Tennessee Medical Center welcomes Dr. Keith Gray to its medical staff. Gray, who is a surgical oncologist, also will serve as assistant professor in Department of Surgery in The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine.

• Wackenhut Services Inc.-Oak Ridge Team announces the promotion of Lisa Clark to budget manager. Clark lives in Farragut with her husband, Eddie, and their three children.

• Tennessee Small Business De-velopment Center at Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership will sponsor a free SBA Community Express Loan Program from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6. • Food City announces its bakery and deli have now converted to the use of a zero grams trans fat cooking oil. Following Food City bakery/deli items now contain zero grams trans fat: fresh fried chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges, french fries and breaded mushrooms.

• Tennessee National announces the appointment of Tyler Thomann as membership director for waterfront community’s Greg Norman Signature Golf Course and private club. Thomann played an instrumental role in the opening of Abacoa Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla, after graduating from the University of Georgia. Thomann and his wife, Melissa, live in Farragut.

• Vista Radiology welcomes Dr. Charles L. McCall to its staff. McCall completed his surgery internship and radiology residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center. He is certified in mammography and is in process of certifying in digital mammography.

• Knox County Public Library will hold a free workshop for new small business owners beginning at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29 at Lawson McGhee Library.
