Congratulations to the Farragut Admirals football team and its coaching staff for an exciting, action-packed 2007 football season.

Reaching the state quarterfinals in Class 5A is no small achievement in the face of perennial rivals Oak Ridge, Ooltewah, William Blount and, of course, westside rival Bearden.

We will miss each snap of the ball and the anticipation that Andre Sterling might break the “big one” as he did on so many occasions this season, or that Andrew Martland would scamper for a first down or connect with one of his favorite receivers, Zach Allen.

We also will miss seeing the excellent play of Brandon Hylton, Lawton Johnson, Josh Morrison, Will Pearman, Kent Rinehart, Jacob Velba, Micah Devan, Ty Canan, Alex Johnson, Dominique Billingsley, James Harrill, Brett Courtney, Bylan Young, Evan Pittman and Jeff Jameson and all the other soon-to-graduate seniors.

We extend our best wishes for more success in the classroom and in whatever field or path these fine prep athletes dare to venture toward in the future.
