Alyssa Randolph likes the links at Kentucky — and a lot more in Lexington. State runner-up in Class AAA girls individual golf while winning both the Region 2-AAA and District 4-AAA tournaments, the standout Farragut High School senior signed National Letter of Intent papers with the University of Kentucky during a brief ceremony in the FHS Commons Thursday, Nov. 15.
“A year ago I put down a list of everything I wanted … and Kentucky just worked out perfectly and had everything I wanted,” Randolph said, adding that Arkansas and Michigan State were finalist. “I’m really excited.”

Randolph attributes her stellar senior year to “stepping up my mental games” and setting goals.
FHS golf head coach Mike Driver said, “She had a great year … at state had that tremendous round the second day with a 65 to get in a playoff. A great career. … she was a member on two state championship teams and two runner-ups, and you can’t do much better than that in four years.
“She’s played in national championships this year, the Junior Girls, and I think she’ll be very successful at Kentucky,” Driver added. “She’s used to pressure, she’s played in a lot of pressure situations.”
