• Premier Surgical Associates welcomes Steve Ross as new director of its Premier Vascular Access & Imaging Center in Knoxville. Ross, who will oversee daily operations at the center, graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2005.

• Pellissippi State Technical Community College announces a grant from the Alcoa Foundation. The grant, worth $88,355 split over two years, will help fund PSTCC’s purchase and upgrade of equipment and technology for Mechanical Engineering Technology degree and Electrical Engineering Technology degree programs.

• BB&T Corporation declares its 2008 first quarter dividend of $0.46 per share, a 9.95 percent increase over $0.42 paid in first quarter 2007. Dividend will be paid Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, to shareholders of record as of Friday, Jan 11, 2008.

• Sequoyah Limited, LLC an-nounces the addition of Timothy Leonard and Angel Shultz to its staff. Leonard, as project estimator, will be responsible for conceptual estimates and review of contract documents for estimates. Shultz, as assistant to payroll services, will be responsible for human resource operations, including payroll and employee benefits.
