Culvert work and improvement
Regarding the culvert problem at the WSUU Church on Fretz Road off Grigsby Chapel, I just want to say that many times as I walked along the Farragut Greenway Trail I observed Mr. Holeman working on that project through much of the summer and fall, working alone all the time and I admired his diligence not knowing what the project was but in seeing it completed I have to congratulate him on doing a fine job.
The culvert support walls he erected are first rate and the whole area he cleaned up is quite an improvement.
I did read the problem the town has with some ordinances and permits but I would hope the officials find some way to work their way around the issue.
Meanwhile, I would encourage residents to stop by and take a look at the work and imagine nothing more than a hole in the bank and a lot of scraggly weeds and shrubs surrounding the hole and to visit the site before the town decides to take it apart.
