State champ Lady SoccerDawgs land seven,


Seven members of two-time defending Class AAA state champion Bearden have been named All-state by Tennessee Soccer Coaches Association and Tenn-essee Athletic Coaches Association.

Perennial power and BHS rival, Farragut, added three players.

Eric Turner, Bearden head coach, earned Coach of the Year honors.

Two-time honoree Amy Porter, a junior who once again led the Lady Soccer-Dawgs in scoring, was joined by five teammates who led BHS to a final 23-2-1 record after a 1-0 state title victory against Collierville:

Senior midfielder Lindsay Pompilio, junior midfielder Jenni Gordon, junior defender Tessa Batchelor, senior goalkeeper Sarah Canter (see related pictures pagess above and page 10A) and freshman forward Samantha Turner.

Lady Admiral honorees who helped Farragut again rank among the top five statewide in 2007 include senior forward Casey Ulrich, a two-time state honoree led FHS in scoring for a second year.

Morgan Plum is a senior Lady Admiral defensive honoree, while Alyssa Dresen is a FHS junior midfield selection.
