‘Rebel’ with a cause ...
- Thu, Feb, 14, 2008
Andre Sterling, Farragut High School senior runningback who gained 5,989 yards and scored 72 touchdowns in four seasons with the Admirals football team, became a Tennessee Volunteer SEC foe by signing with the University of Mississippi “Ole Miss” Rebels on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 6.
Sterling joins a stellar legacy of Mississippi student-athletes including 2008 Super Bowl winning New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Manning patriarch Archie Manning, Deuce McAllister, Frank M. “Bruiser” Kinard and the Wesley Walls, to name a few. Sterling was one of many in the farragutpress coverage area to sign with major colleges and universities on this all-important day for collegiate sports.
