• Premier Surgical Associates recently named Marcella Hatch as office manager.

• Bob Tipton, Janice Roberts and Carol Courtney have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as senior vice president and financial advisor, credit analyst and financial advisor assistant and service specialist, respectively.

• Fred Wright has joined Curtis Mortgage Company as executive vice president. Previously he was the senior loan officer and manager of the north Knoxville office of Mortgage Investors Group.

• Dr. Raye-Anne Ayo opened a private family medical practice, Family Health Center, PLLC, Jan. 14 at 116 Concord Road, Suite 100 in the Admiral Pointe office building. The practice features paperless patient records and will ultimately offer a secure web site.

• Tiffany Davis has joined the Knoxville branch of Mountain Commerce Bank at 249 North Peters Road as a client service assistant.

• Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic’s Dr. Michael Casey has receieved the Jack C. Hughston, M.D., Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association Sports Medicine Person of the Year.

• Summit Medical Group promoted Ron Scoggins to vice president of information services. Scoggins served as director of information services since joining Summit in 2002.

• Michael E. Kelly, M.D., was one of 1,291 surgeons from around the world to be named a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons during the ceremonies at the 93rd annual Clinical Congress in New Orleans. Kelly practices with Premier Surgical Associates at Parkwest Medical Center.

• Pellissippi State Technical Community College named Melanie Paradise as new registrar. Paradise has served as interim registrar since October.

• Three nurses at The University of Tennessee Medical Center have achieved nursing specialty certifications. Linda Cruze, RN, BSN, CBE-CI and MammCare Specialist, has earned her CMC (Case Manager Certified) certification through the American Institute of Outcomes Care Management. Angela Smith earned her RN-BC (Registered Nurse-Board Certified) certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Stephanie Wilkerson, MSN, APRN-BC, CNS Critical Care, MCC and SCC, earned her CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

• American Honda Motor Company, Inc. recently awarded Knoxville’s Rusty Wallace Honda the 2007 President’s Award for outstanding service and operations. The award is presented to the top 15 percent of Honda dealerships across the country that meet the requirements.

• Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce plans a ribbon-cutting at Lily’s Bead Box at 613 North Campbell Station Road at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27.
