Huddleston to C-N

Matt Huddleston, standout offensive/defensive tackle for Christian Academy of Knoxville, signed National Letter of Intent papers with Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City (NCAA Division II) during a Feb. 13 ceremony at the school.

Huddleston, 18, is a 6-foot-4, 255-pound three-year letterman at CAK who recorded 70 tackles, five for minus yardage, last season. He received the Character Star Athlete award and was named All-Region 2-2A. I am really excited about getting the opportunity to play football for Carson-Newman, they have a great football program and I felt right at home visiting their campus and football facilities, Huddleston said. I considered several schools all further away from home, but no one had a better football record and history than Carson Newman. Huddleston is seated alongside his parents, Kirk and Joanne Huddleston.
