• Converse College announces Christine Elizabeth Hendershot, daughter of Howard and Susan Hendershot, has been named to its fall 2007 Dean’s List. To be included on List, students are required to be full time and have no incomplete grades in that term. First year freshmen must have a minimum grade point average of 3.4, while other students must maintain a 3.6 GPA.

• Farragut Middle School will host a program on bullying by Knox County Schools representative Marty Iroff beginning at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 12, in FMS Studio Theatre. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served prior to program.

• Greenway School, located of Canton Hollow Road, invites interested families to tour the school and meet the faculty at a Visitor’s Open House from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 13.

• The University of Tennessee College of Business Administration announces Business Plan Competit-ion. Competition is designed to encourage an entrepreneurial culture on campus. All UT undergraduates are encouraged to participate. A two-page executive summary of business plan must be submitted to by 5 p.m., Friday, April 4, for consideration in the competition. • Pellissippi State Technical Com-munity College announces its president, Allen Edwards, has been selected to receive Phi Theta Kappa honor society’s Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction. Edwards will be recognized Saturday, April 5, at the 90th Annual International Convention at Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
