Board decides committee appointments


Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved committee appointments for the Leisure Services, Community Development, Engineering and Administration departments during its May 22 meeting.

In the Leisure Services department, Sandy Garber, Joan Giffen, Becky McKenzie, Bill Nichols and Pamela Ziegler were reappointed to the Farragut Arts Council for two-year terms.

Linda Ford, Jeannine Mitchell and Marty Rodgers were reappointed and Marie Leonard was appointed to the Farragut Beautification Committee for two-year terms.

Carl Bacon, Barbara Beeler, Loretta Bradley, John Campbell, Doris Henning, Mike Karnitz and Malcolm Shell were reappointed to the Farragut Folklife Museum Committee for two-year terms.

Bill Parker and Pat Sloan were reappointed and Margaret Milburn was appointed to the Farragut Parks and Athletics Council for two-year terms.

In the Community Development department, Ed Glass, James Marks and David Scott were reappointed to the Visual Resources Review Board for two-year terms.

Duane Winkler also was appointed by a three-to-two vote, Alderman Tom Rosseel and Vice Mayor J. Michael Haynes dissenting. Winkler had applied for Personnel Committee.

Stephen Byrd, Bernard Levenson and Nicholas Moskal were reappointed to Farragut Board of Plumbing and Gas Mechanical Examiners for three-year terms.

Morton “Corky” Ives was reappointed to Farragut Board of Zoning Appeals: five-year term.

In the Engineering department, John Tyner was reappointed and Troy L. Brown was appointed to Stormwater Advisory Committee for two-year terms. The charter may be changed at an upcoming Board meeting to allow for two additional “at large” members.

In the Administration department, Steve Hildebrand was reappointed and Fenton Moran and J. Renee Yount were appointed to Personnel Committee for two-year terms.

Mayor W. Edward “Eddy” Ford III announced he reappointed Ron Honken, Rita Holladay and Edward St. Clair to Farragut Municipal Planning Commission.
