Pressley to Lenoir-Rhyne

Webb School of Knoxville senior golfer Sam Pressley signed with NCAA Division II Lenoir-Rhyne College during a May 8 ceremony in Webb’s Lee Athletics Center.
Captain of last season’s Spartan golf team, Pressley averaged 74 his senior season and was named and earned All-KIL honors. As a junior, Pressley was a member of Webb’s first-ever Division II-East Region championship team that went on to finish runner-up at state. “As a first-year coach, I relied on Sam heavily for advice,” Spartan boys varsity golf head coach John Schmid said. “He always showed maturity beyond his years, and maturity on the golf course may be a golfer’s most important weapon.”
