Walter chooses Pfeiffer

Jessica Walter, Webb Lady Spartan varsity basketball wing, signed with Pfeiffer University, an NCAA Division II school in North Carolina, May 2 in Webb’s Lee Athletic Center.
Walter is one of three 2008 grads to have led Webb to a career record of 102-25, the Division II state title in 2007, four region championships and four straight state tournaments, including a runner-up finish in 2008. Walter led Webb in charges taken during the past season and was second in leading the team in steals with 72. The 2008 Region All-Tournament team member averaged six points per game her senior year, and 620 career points, overall. “Jessica Walter has been a tremendous leader and example for our program,” head coach Shelley Sexton-Collier said. “She has dedicated herself and has worked very hard to become the player that she is today.
