letter to the editor

My wife and I have read the Letter to the Editor by Bob Markli in (the Sept. 19 issue of) farragutpress. We totally agree with his comments and position.

We chose to call Farragut our home for the quality of life and convenience to hospitals, medical care and, lastly, shopping. Tourism was never on our list and in many ways we could call the traffic it would bring to be detrimental to the quality of life, which we sought in purchasing our home 15 years ago.

Please consider the points, which Bob Markli has raised, and put this Hotel/Motel Tax to bed. This tax has been buried (two) times in the past six years and deserves to remain buried.
