• At 11:08 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, a Knox County Sheriff’s Office unit responded to a possible injured person inside a 2009 Lexus ES 350 parked at a Farragut Hills Boulevard residence.

Complainant said she noticed the arrestee slumped over behind the wheel, sleeping in the car. Officers made contact with the arrestee and noticed she had pinpoint pupils, slurred speech, was unsteady on her feet and had trouble removing her license from her pocketbook. The arrestee performed the standardized field sobriety tests and could not maintain her position during the walk-and-turn test, did not touch heel-to-toe, stepped off a straight line, raised her arms for balance, turned improperly and took the wrong number of steps during the walk-and-turn test. Arestee refused a blood draw to determine the alcohol and/or drug content of her blood after being read the implied consent form. Arrestee said she takes Xanax, but had not taken any that day. Arrestee gave consent to search her purse and officers located three small, cut straws that appeared to have some powder residue on them believed to be narcotics. Arrestee was taken into custody without further incident.
