HVA Hawks win program ‘opener’

Hardin Valley Academy has won the program’s first-ever formal football outing.
Hawk quarterback Jake Bishop’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Lance Tuck with just 7 seconds to play in the 12-minute quarter against Cosby gave HVA a 7-0 win during the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic 2008 Kick-Off Classic at Central High School Thursday, Aug. 14.
Hawks kicker Ryan Bataille, who won the halftime punting contest versus other Kick-Off Classic schools, added the extra point.
