$196,000 ‘granted’

Mayor W. Edward “Eddy” Ford III ceremonially presents two checks to Leisure Services Coordinator Sue Stuhl at Farragut Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Thursday, Sept. 11. Town received grants from State of Tennessee for parks and recreation. A $100,000 Local Parks and Recreation Fund grant was presented to Town for the playground at McFee Park. It is a 50/50 match grant. Another $96,000 grant has been designated for a greenway link through the Montgomery Farm. Eventually, the greenway will connect to McFee Park and Bridgemore subdivision. “There were only 87 recipients of these grants, and to receive two of the grants is indeed an honor,” Ford said.
