Businesses asked to light up
Farragut Beautification Committee urges business owners to celebrate the holidays with lights and trees.

The Farragut Beautification Committee is pleased to invite local businesses to participate in the fourth annual “Light Up Farragut” holiday event. This program is patterned to compliment and to expand on the Town’s seasonal banners and the “Celebrate the Season” event.

Following are the options for those businesses considering participation:

• Rooftop tree of lights (works best on a flat roof)

• Tree of lights in front of business

• Roof or store front outlined with lights

• Interior lighted tree that is visible from the street

Businesses are encouraged to display the tree and/or lights beginning Saturday, Nov. 22 through Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008 – dates that coincide with the annual “Buy in Farragut” campaign, which encourages holiday patronage within Town limits. The Town’s official kickoff to the holidays will be the “Celebrate the Season” event, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4, at Farragut Town Hall. This free event includes photos with Santa, entertainment, children’s crafts and refreshments.

Those businesses interested in participating in the 2008 “Light Up Farragut” event can contact Town staff members Chelsey Riemann or Sue Stuhl at 866-966-7057 for more information.
