ORNL FCU opens new Farragut branch

ORNL Federal Credit Union opened a new branch located within the new Kroger Marketplace at 189 Brooklawn St. in Farragut. The Kroger store opened Sunday, Oct. 5 and the credit union office opened Monday, Oct. 6.

ORNL Federal Credit Union will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Oct. 24, with area Chamber and credit union officials on hand to mark the occasion. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given away throughout the day. The public is invited to join in the celebration.

Similar to other in-store branches of ORNL Federal Credit Union, this branch will serve as an extension of the Farragut Branch, located at 11405 Municipal Center Drive, by offering extended hours of service throughout the week and on Saturdays.

Former Clinton Branch manager Debra Brown will oversee operations in the new Farragut Kroger Branch.

“My staff and I are excited to be in the Farragut community and would like to invite everyone to stop by. We will offer full teller and lending services, including mortgages, and look forward to serving our members,” Brown said.

ORNL Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative locally owned and operated by its members for the benefit of all who belong.  Established in 1948 with 10 founding members, ORNL FCU has grown to a membership of more than 130,000 and has served the Farragut community since 1987. Open to businesses and anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the 16 counties of central East Tennessee, ORNL FCU currently serves members in 30 branches located throughout Knox and surrounding counties.
