• Maria Cornelius of Knoxville has been named the 2020 recipient of the Mel Greenberg Media Award from Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Cornelius, author of the award-winning book, “The Final Season: The Perseverance of Pat Summitt,” and writer/editor for Moxley Carmichael, has covered Tennessee women’s basketball for the last 22 years.

• Positively Living has named Jessica Langer, a seasoned fundraising specialist, as director of development. Langer has nearly a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, including civil rights work, advocacy for the homeless and promotion of affordable housing. While serving most recently as major gifts officer and director of individual giving for Girl Scouts of Greater New York in Manhattan, Langer worked with its first program serving girls living in homeless shelters.

• David A. Bright has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Knoxville-headquartered bank holding company, Mountain Commerce Bancorp Inc., and its subsidiary, Mountain Commerce Bank. During his 27-year career, Bright, a certified public accountant, has held leadership and executive roles including six years as both the CFO and treasurer of a publicly traded bank in North Carolina.
