Regions Bank robbed Monday


Knoxville police and members of the Federal Bureau of Investigation are seeking information leading to the arrest of the person who robbed Regions Bank Monday afternoon, Nov. 17.

Police report that at about 12:40 p.m., a man entered the Regions Bank at 1185 Keowee Ave. in Knoxville. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, about 22-to-24 years old, between 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-8-inches tall, weighing about 165 pounds. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a dark, hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a black knit cap. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect left the scene on foot.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 865-544-0751 or the Knoxville Police Department at 865-215-7212.

The public is reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
