Cowan in KIL Hall of Fame

Richard Cowan, athletic director at Christian Academy of Knoxville and former Bearden High School and CAK girls basketball head coach, has been elected to the 2008 Knoxville Interscholastic League Basket-ball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
In 29 years coaching Cowan led his teams to 536 wins and four state tournaments while winning eight district and one regional title.
Also a three-time KIL Coach of the Year, Cowan was honored, along with other inductees, during the High School Tip-Off Classic at The University of Tennessee’s Thompson-Boling Arena Nov. 19.
