Firearms ownership: a right or a privilege?

With a shift in leadership in our nation’s capital, many sportsmen in the United States are saying their right or privilege to own firearms will be challenged by the majority party. Gun show organizers are reporting greater attendance to traveling gun shows and local firearms dealers are reporting higher sales. What do you think about firearm ownership? Do you think the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees the freedom to own, or to own and carry a firearm? What limits do you think should, if any, be applied to ownership?
