Wave of snow bands leave secondary roads icy, halt school

Farragut motorists were somewhat surprised to find main roads relatively clear and traffic moving normally Monday, Jan. 19, as a wave of snow and freezing temperatures came out of the west covering the area with a blanket of ice and snow. Area police reported few accidents and motorists seemed to take the weather in stride.
