• LBMC Strategic Staffing, LLC has added Christine Bell as an executive recruiter to its growing Knoxville office.

• Lance Boyd is now Summit Medical Group’s vice president of Hospitalist Services, overseeing Statcare, Summit’s group of about 75 physicians and nurse practitioners who specialize in the care of hospitalized patients.


• Local business owners now can access information on how to work with Knox County’s purchasing division at any Knox County Public Library. Every library location has a “blue binder” filled with information on how to become a vendor or submit a bid for a project with Knox County government. Binders contain information about the Small Business Administration in Nashville, contact information for staff members in the purchasing division, and information for supplier diversity. Included is a list of currently open bids with Knox County, which will be updated regularly. Information also is available on-line at www.knoxcounty.org/purchasing

• The first quarterly donation from Enrichment Federal Credit Union’s Pet Pals Savings Accounts and employee fundraising was given to Young-Williams Animal Center Monday, Jan. 5. A check for $500 was presented to Tim Adams, Young-Williams Executive Director by Katy Jett, EFCU Community Relations Manager. Pet Pals Savings Club helps pet owners save for everything from their pet’s medical expenses, boarding or grooming costs, food and supplies or even for a new pet.

• Roane State Community College’s Tennessee Small Business Development Center plans a free workshop at Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30. • The City of Knoxville, Knox County, Workforce Connections, Knoxville Chamber, and ADP will host a breakfast event from 7:30 to 9 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, to provide employers who wish to hire students in the summer. Attendees must register on the events page of the Knoxville Chamber’s website at www.knoxvillechamber.com. Event is free.
