Pediatric Professionals opens

Pediatric Professionals has opened its newest office in Farragut, 11124 Kingston Pike.

“My ambition and goal is to provide pediatric medicine with the genuine thought that this is a very noble profession, which needs to be delivered in a noble manner,” Dr. Shahid Hasnain, pediatrician, said.

“Our clinic in Farragut is committed to devotion and loving care … every child deserves to be treated with respect and tender care.

“I would like to provide the same pediatric care to the children of other parents what I would expect my children to receive,” Hasnain, a father of four, said.

As part of that mission, Pediatric Professionals has a “24/7” phone system, in which patients can call the office after hours and be connected to a nurse or doctor.

“Being available 24/7 does not mean that I see patients in the clinic 24 hours [a day],” Hasnain said.

“What this means is that after the clinic closes and a patient calls, then the call goes to the call service. Parents can speak to the nurse through the call service.

“If situation demands, then the nurse will connect the parent to the doctor. All it means is that me or one of my on-call partners will be available to the patients,” he added.

According to Hasnain, “no child should suffer just because of the fact that [an] illness hit her/him at on odd hour.”

Both Pediatric Professionals locations, one in Farragut and the other in Jacksboro, Tenn., are open from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturdays. Weekday office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Hasnain is accepting new patients from birth to age 21. For more information, visit www.knoxpediatrician.com
