Eateries plan V-Day specials


Many local restaurants will provide special menu selections to help Knoxville residents celebrate Valentine’s Day.

• Aubrey’s Restaurant will serve serve bone-in pork chop and fresh fish specials, along with a dessert. Ladies will be given roses. Aubrey’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and accepts call-ahead seating.

• Baker Peters Jazz Club will be having a three-day Valentine’s Day celebration beginning Thursday, Feb. 12, with a wine dinner. Friday, diners can enjoy special Valentine’s features from the regular menu. Saturday, Baker Peters will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu. The restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to about midnight daily. Reservations or call-ahead notice are recommended.


• Bonefish Grill will be featuring a sirloin and lobster tail dinner for $22.50 from Monday, Feb. 9 through Sunday, Feb. 15. The restaurant also is partnering with Lindt Chocolate on Valentine’s Day to offer diners a complimentary chocolate tasting. Bonefish Grill in Turkey Creek, which will be open from noon to 11:30 p.m., is taking reservations.

• Bravo will be serving its regular menu and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant does take reservations.

• Calhouns at the corner of Pellissippi Parkway will be serving from its regular menu. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and is accepting reservations.

• Carraba’s will be offering two specials: veal chops with demi glace and Mahi wolf. The restaurant does not take reservations but will accept call-ahead seating. Carraba’s is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Chesapeake’s will offer selections from its daily specials and is taking reservations. The restaurant is open from 4:30 to 11 p.m.

• Chop House will offer a steak and lobster tail dinner for two, complete with dessert, on Valentine’ Day. The restaurant is accepting reservations and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Connor’s will be serving from its normal menu and will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant accepts reservations.

• Copper Cellar and Cappucino’s will be serving from its daily feature menu and is taking reservations. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Flemings is offering a special sharing menu from Friday, Feb. 13 to Sunday, Feb. 15. Menu includes a choice between “Saucy Glazed Portherhouse Steak” for two for $98 or “Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb and Lobster en Fuego” for two for $89. Each entrée is served with choice of salad. “Dark Chocolate Frangelico Fondue” for two costs $9.50. Reservations are strongly suggested and will be open from 3 to 11 p.m.

• Lakeside Tavern will offer a special menu for two for $39.99, offering diners a choice of entrée, Caesar or house salad and a dessert. The restaurant does not offer reservations or call-ahead seating and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Mimi’s Café will not be serving any specials but will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant takes reservations.

• Naples will serve its daily-changing specials and will be open from 4:30 to 10 p.m. Reservations are recommended.

• Peerless Restaurant will serve a special menu for two, as well as special features on a limited menu. The restaurant does accept reservations and will be open from 4 to 10:30 p.m.

• Red Lobster will not have a special menu and also will not accept reservations. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and diners will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Regas will offer a special surf and turf dinner for two, complete with champagne and dessert. The restaurant takes reservations and is open from 3 to 10 p.m.

• Romano’s Macaroni Grill will be serving two featured dishes in addition to its regular menu: a triple-berry tiramisu and a pollo-limon rustica. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will accept reservations.

• Ruth’s Chris will offer a la carte dining in both its main and lower level dining rooms for Valentine’s Day, as well as debuting a new menu called Ruth’s Duo for $39.95. Menu includes a choice of starter, a 4 oz. filet paired with your choice of crab cake, grilled shrimp, the fresh fish selection or stuffed chicken breast. Diners also will be served a choice of side dish and a “Symphony Selection” desert, which is a duo of fresh berries with sweet cream and chocolate mousse. Reservations are encouraged and the restaurant expects to use the entire week as a Valentine’s Day celebration. 

• Seasons Café will serve diners a special menu for two. Diners will choose between appetizers and entrees in a four-course meal. Appetizer choices are sesame-seared Ahi tuna and pan-seared breast of Carolina duckling. Second course is a spring arugala salad. Third course choices include pan seared pistachio encrusted grouper filet, broiled filet mignon Oscar or oven roasted breast of Amish chicken au poivre. Fourth course is “Callebaut chocolate bombe.”

• Southern Appalachia Railway Museum also will offer its Valentine’s Day dinner train Thursday, Feb. 12, through Sunday, Feb. 15. Rides last approximately one-and-a-half hours; tickets are $140 per couple and include train ride, complete dinner and all taxes Reservations are required and seating is limited. • Table 15 will offer Valentine’s Day diners “bubbly specials” on sparkling wine as well as special menu items for two. The restaurant also will give diner chocolate truffles. Table 15 will be open from 3 p.m. to midnight and is accepting reservations.
