Marshalls to open

Marshalls department store will open the doors of its Turkey Creek store, 11455 Parkside Drive, Thursday, March 5.

According to a press release, the current store at Market Place, 9329 Kingston Pike, closed March 1. Repeated calls to Marshalls spokespeople were not returned.

The Turkey Creek store will house two new Marshalls concepts: “Shoe MegaShop” and “The CUBE.”

The shoe store will be housed in nearly 5,000 square feet within the Marshalls building.

“Our exciting new Marshalls Shoe MegaShop offers thousands of designer shoes with new stayles arriving several times each week,” the press release stated.

Marshalls also will have a “new high-energy in-store boutique department,” the CUBE.

“The boutique-inspired department allows young women to easily shop for fashion-forward designer clothes and accessories at amazing prizes,” the release read.

The CUBE will be set apart not only by color scheme and lighting, but by organization.

According to the press release, clothes will be organized by style, with accessories nearby, instead of by size.

“Shoppers can create a stylish, head-to-toe outfit more easily,” the release stated.

Marshalls has more than 800 stores in 42 states and Puerto Rico, and is well-known for its “off-price shopping.”

“Marshalls ... deliver[s] high quality, brand name merchandise at great value,” the release read.
