Webb’s Dupree is Gatorade Player of Year

Faith Dupree, Webb School of Knoxville Lady Spartans 6-foot-3 standout senior post, has been named 2008-2009 Gatorade Tennessee Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
Dupree, Tennessee Miss Basket-ball for Division II-AA (08-09), helped lead the Lady Spartans to a 29-3 record and the program’s second Division II-AA state championship in three seasons.
The University of Tennessee signee averaged 17.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and two blocks per game this season, and shot 58 percent from the field, 72 percent from the free throw line and 45 percent from beyond the 3-point line.
