Games & Things relocates

Games and Things, 10420 Kingston Pike, is relocating from Lovell Heights to a newly-built building immediately adjacent to Rush Fitness Center at the Lovell Road/Kingston Pike intersection.

“We just need more space. We’re growing,” Scott Mellon, owner, said.

“We want to be able to display our items in a better setting,” he added.

The company sells everything from pool tables to bar stools, “anything to do with a game room,” Mellon said.

In the new store, these products will be displayed in “game room settings …with everything coordinating,” he added.

In addition, the store needs more room for its expanding home theater product line.

Games and Things has been in business in the Greater Knoxville area since 1980: off Magnolia Avenue for 17 years and in Lovell Heights for 11.

“When the opportunity came, we moved out west here, where 80 percent of our customers were located.

“Now we’re just taking the next step, being able to get a larger showroom, expand our product offering and be able to show it in a better setting,” Mellon said.

Mellon hoped Games and Things would be relocated by the end of April.
