UT Medical to host dietitian in Farragut

Registered dietitians from The University of Tennessee Medical Center want to help you make the right choices for a healthy lifestyle when you’re at the grocery store. In these free programs presented by UT Medical Center’s Healthy Living Kitchen team and Kroger, the upcoming Grocery Store Tours will give you the opportunity to walk the aisles with a nutrition expert.

“The grocery store is a place that can make or break your eating habits from a healthy living perspective,” said Janet Seiber, a registered dietitian at UT Medical Center and a frequent presenter of the tours. “Learning to make better choices in the grocery store can really help you toward a healthier overall lifestyle.”

The registered dietitians from UT Medical Center will give you a tour around Kroger and share tips on healthy grocery shopping, comparing food labels and selecting food items that fit your desired eating plan. Upcoming Grocery Store Tours at Knoxville area Kroger stores include:

• At 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, Kroger Market Place, located at 189 Brooklawn St. in Farragut

• At 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 9501 S. Northshore Drive in West Knoxville

• At 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 6702 Clinton Highway in Northwest Knoxville

• At 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2217 Broadway in North Knoxville

While the tours are free, registration is required. To reserve your space on a tour, call 865-305-6877 or visit online at www.utmedicalcenter.org/healthylivingkitchen
