Border Taco to open in May

Claudia and Mario Navarro are making restaurant owning a family affair, planning to open Border Taco in Campbell Station Center with family members.

“The two of us, my brother-in-law [Jorge] and me, we are going to be running that place. And Mario is going to stay at Estelitas,” Claudia Navarro said.

“Border Taco is very, very different than what we have at Estelitas,” she added.

“Border Taco is more of the fast food, and something we have not done before,” she added.

The fast-casual restaurant will offer “all kinds of tacos,” Navarro said, including soft, crispy, puffy and hard.

“Nobody has that here in town,” she added.

Navarro hopes Border Taco will be open in early May.

Border Taco will be open for breakfast, unusual for Mexican restaurants.

“So if you’re tired of sausage and biscuits, we’ll be there for you,” Navarro said.

The restaurant will be open from about 6 a.m. to 8 or 9 p.m.
