Menzie, Sumner wed
Jamie Morgan Menzie and Joe Dalton Sumner joined in Holy Matrimony during a Saturday, July 26, 2008, ceremony held at Lillie Belleís of Franklin.

The Rev. Carter Crenshaw officiated.

The brideís parents are Dr. and Mrs. James W. Menzie of Franklin.

A 2001 graduate of Christ Presbyterian Academy, she received a Masterís of Arts degree in English and masterís of education degree in secondary education from Vanderbilt University in 2005. She currently is employed as a high school English teacher.

The groomís parents are Mr. and Mrs. Glenn D. Sumner of Knoxville.

A 1997 graduate of Farragut High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in geography and a Masterís of Science degree in geography from Samford University in 2001. He currently is employed as a geographic information systems specialist.

Maid of Honor was Ms. Susanna Singleton of Nashville. Best man was Mr. John Thurman of New York, N.Y.

The brideís wedding party members were Ms. Marcelle Beal of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Julia Colby of Nashville, Ms. Stephanie Todd of Franklin, Mrs. Jennie Menzie of Franklin and Mrs. Beth Thurman of New York.

The groomís wedding party members were Mr. Andrew Dye of Nashville, Mr. Paul Jenkins of Knoxville, Mr. Andrew Halbert of Columbia, S.C., Mr. Ricky Pearce of Chattanooga and Mr. Craig Menzie of Franklin.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and now reside in Nashville.


Chandler, Genua wed
Jenny Leigh Chandler and Matthew Todd Genua joined in Holy Matrimony during a Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, ceremony held at Woodmont Baptist Church in Nashville.

The Rev. Todd Vermilyea officiated.

The brideís parents are Johnny and Marcia Chandler of Knoxville. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Leigh Walker and the late Leland Walker of Dickson and the late Mr. Ward and Pauline Chandler, also of Dickson.

A 2001 graduate of Dickson County High School, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from The University of Tennessee, Martin in 2005. She currently is employed as marketing coordinator at Skanska USA Building.

The groomís parents are Mark and Rebecca Genua of Farragut. He is the grandson of Mr. Julius Sabo and the late Maxie Sabo of Holden, W.V., Ms. Irene Genua of Knoxville and the late Marc Genua Sr. of Erie, Pa.

A 2001 graduate of Farragut High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He currently is employed as a senior account executive at HSBC.

Maids of Honor were Nance Jerman and Jessica Crawford, both of Nashville. Best Man was Ryan Genua of Knoxville.

The brideís wedding party members were Kristin of White Bluff, Lynn Lawyer and Whitney Reynolds, both of Brentwood, Shelby Adams and Rachel Haggard, both of Nashville and Amy Clayton of Farragut.

The groomís wedding party members were Roger Rhodes and Chris Muscatello, both of Nashville, Travis Haynes, Lewis Cosby and Cameron Boyd, all of Farragut, Tom Hale of Raleigh, N.C. and John Chandler of Memphis.

Flower Girl was the groomís niece, Emma Clayton, of Farragut.

Ring Bearer was the brideís cousin, Sam Mazzo, of Dickson.

The couple honeymooned in Runaway Bay, Jamaica and currently resides in Nashville.
