Restaurants plan Mother’s Day specials


Local restaurants are offering their best for moms this year; Mother’s Day falls Sunday, May 10, traditionally the busiest day of the year for the food industry.

• Aubrey’s Restaurant in Farragut will serve special features: a prime rib, fresh trout and banana pudding dessert. Aubrey’s will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and accepts call-ahead seating; call 865-671-2233.

• Baker Peters Jazz Club will serve its Mother’s Day brunch, including new seafood boil features, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch includes breakfast and lunch items such as fruit, pastries and salad. Reservations are recommended; call 865-690-8110.


• Bravo will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a special brunch, then will serve from its regular menu from 3 to 9 p.m. Bravo accepts reservations; call 865-584-5510.

• Calhoun’s at Pellissippi Parkway will be serving from its normal menu from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended; call 865-673-3444.

• Carraba’s will serve three specials, in addition to its normal menu: lamb chops with demi glace, filets with stuffed shrimp and pollo caprino. Carraba’s is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and accepts call-ahead seating; call 865-692-2223.

• Chop House will be serving from its regular menu from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are recommended; call 865-531-2467.

• Connor’s will be serving from its regular menu, along with several fresh fish and steak features, including Filet Oscar with grilled asparagus and lemon piccata. Connor’s is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and accepts reservations; call 865-966-0933.

• Copper Cellar and Cappucino’s will be serving a special Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will serve from its regular menu from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are recommended; call 865-673-3422.

• Flemings will offer a “prix fixe menu,” available from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., in addition to the restaurant’s normal menu. The prix fixe menu includes a choice of one appetizer, one entrée with side dishes and one dessert. Cost is $29.95 per person. Flemings will serve from its regular menu until 9 p.m. and accepts reservations; call 865-675-9463.

• Irish Times Pub and Restaurant will serve a special menu from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Reservations are accepted; call 865-675-8800.

• Lakeside Tavern will serve its Sunday brunch, beginning at 10 a.m. The restaurant will be open until 10 p.m., serving from its normal menu. Restaurant seats on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 865-671-2980.

• Macaroni Grill will serve from its normal menu from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant accepts reservations; call 865-691-0809.

• Mimi’s Café will serve from a limited menu from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are recommended; call 865-675-1362.

• Naples will be open for a special lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Reservations are recommended; call 865-584-5033.

• Peerless will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and serve a “Royal Buffet,” including tableside salad service, chef’s carving table, assorted side, dessert and brunch items and a children’s buffet table. Cost is $26.95 for adults, $4.95 for children under age 5, $8.95 for children ages 5 through 10 and $13.50 for youth ages 11 through 13. • Red Lobster will be serving its Mediterranean Grill feature menu, in addition to its normal menu, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant serves on a first-come, first-served basis, but has added tables and chairs to accommodate larger crowds; call 865-693-4651.

• Regas will serve a turkey and dressing special in addition to its normal menu. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Reservations are recommended; call 865-637-3427.

• Ruth’s Chris will be open from noon to 9 p.m. and, in addition to its regular menu, will be serving from its “Ruth’s Classics” menu, a three-course dinner with choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert for $39.95. Reservations are recommended; call 865-546-4696.

• Seasons Café will be open for a special brunch buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet will feature a salad bar, antipasto platters, fish and seafood dishes, muffins and Danishes, an omelet station, various featured dishes and a dessert bar. Cost is $24.95 for adults, $12.95 for children ages 6 through 12 and free for children ages 5 and under. For more information, call 865-671-3679.

• All eight Tennessee State Parks will serve a Mother’s Day buffet beginning at 11 a.m. statewide, with prices ranging from $12.95 to $15.95. Group reservations are recommended.
