Hibachi Factory marks one year

Hibachi Factory, 10955 Kingston Pike, is celebrating its one-year anniversary in Farragut.

“We’re very excited to be in Farragut. It’s been a good year for us,” owner Clark Carter said of the Stonecrest Center restaurant.

“We’ve ... had some great support from Farragut; we’re appreciative.

“We’re very happy with how the store has done,” he added.

During the next two weeks, the restaurant plans to offer customers free drinks or cookies with dine-in and delivery meals to celebrate the location’s anniversary.

“Probably for the next two weeks we’ll have some kind of free special for our anniversary, that will be either drinks or a dessert,” Carter said.

Hibachi Factory serves a Japanese steakhouse menu in a fast-casual environment, and offers delivery, carry out and a large dining room, a quality unique to the Farragut location.

“The dine-in section of our Farragut store we’re really proud of. It’s really nice; it’s a nice fast-casual environment,” Carter said.

“The other [locations] don’t have that much seating. It’s very unique and it was a different design for us. It’s worked well,” he added.

“We also deliver, we can deliver to homes or businesses,” Carter said, adding nearly half the restaurant’s business was generated through deliveries.

There currently is a $1 charge for deliveries, which goes directly to the driver.

The menu includes “basics of a Japanese steakhouse,” Carter said.

“We do the grilled entrees, chicken, steak, seafood and vegetables. Those are the core items. You can get side items with that, of glazed carrots or zucchini and onions … or just extra rice,” Carter said.

“You can get any combination of the grilled items, so you can pretty much get what you want … you can mix and match,” he added.

Hibachi Factory is open from 10:30 a.m. to about 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. to about 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from noon to 10 p.m. Sundays.
