CVS robbery attempt thwarted
Heather Mays - Thu, May, 28, 2009
An unidentified suspect attempted to rob Farragut’s CVS Pharmacy, 11946 Kingston Pike, pictured above right, the night of Monday, May 18.
At 7:09 p.m., a white male entered the store, approached the clerk at the pharmacy and handed her a note demanding certain unspecified medicines.
“He said in the note that he had a gun but he never showed it,” Knox County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Martha Dooley said.
“The pharmacist was getting the drugs together that [the suspect] wanted and he apparently got spooked and left on foot, and did not take anything with him,” she added.
The suspect was described as an approximately 6-foot-tall white male, between the ages of 21 and 29, wearing a yellow and black ball cap, black T-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He did not wear a mask and was described as clean-shaven.
Anyone with information can call KCSO at 865-215-2243.
