• Hope Resource Center will host its annual golf tournament Friday, June 12, at Avalon Landmark Golf Club at Avalon, off state Highway 70 at 1299 Oak Chase Blvd. in Lenoir City. It begins with a 7 a.m. breakfast and 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Board members of Hope Resource Center will challenge other teams in support of the ministry. This event includes a silent auction. • CBFO Volleyball is now accepting registrations for fall season for boys and girls, rising third- thru 12th-graders. Registrations and schedules may be picked up at UPS store, 11130 Kingston Pike, Suite No. 1 or e-mail cbfovolleyball@charter.net to receive a form by e-mail. Deadline is Aug. 21 and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

• The Fast 40 Dash will begin at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 11, on Interstate I-40 in the section that has been closed for about one year. Event will include a one-mile competitive race and one-mile Fun Walk. Pre-registration is open and cost is $15 for all ages competing in the one-mile race and $5 for ages 11 and up for the Fun Walk through June 5. Registration for children 10 and under is free for the Fun Walk only. Late registration cost will be $20 for all ages competing in the one-mile race and $10 for ages 11 and up in the Fun Walk. All participants must register including children 10 and under. Fun Walk participants will not be timed. Registration forms can be found online at www.ktc.org. All participants must pick-up race packets at Civic Auditorium and Coliseum garage between 5 and 6:30 p.m. on race day.

• Farragut Lady Admirals Softball Camp will be June 1-4. Sign-ups will run from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at FHS’s Bellamy Field. Cost $90 or $75 depending on age and if a participant stays all day or a half day. For more info, contact head coach David Moore: 865-274-6257.

• Hardin Valley Academy Basketball Camp runs from 8 a.m. to noon, June 15-17, for ages 6-14. Cost is $50 per player. • Knoxville Warriors Lacrosse boys middle school team is sponsoring a summer league starting in June. This is a game-only league that will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesdays, starting June 2 thru Aug. 4, at the lacrosse field behind Farragut Middle School. • Area girls in grades four through 12 are encouraged to participate in any or all of several lacrosse clinics to be held this fall. No prior lacrosse experience is required and the team welcomes all athletes. • Knoxville Track Club is hosting its annual summer track and field program for local East Tennessee youth June 2-27. Program is open to all girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 18. Practices held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at more than 20 schools in Knox and surrounding counties. • Annual Farragut High School Baseball Camp for ages 7 to incoming high school freshmen is from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday, June 1 to Thursday, June 4, at FHS’s John Heatherly Field. Cost is $75, with two or more in a family $60 each. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., June 1, at the field.

• Farragut Middle School Baseball and Farragut High School Baseball freshmen teams are holding tryouts at FHS’s John Heatherly Field: FMS, 1 p.m. each day June 3 and June 4; FHS freshmen, 5 p.m. each day June 3 and June 4.

• Tour de Cure is a one-day cycling event June 6 geared to the novice rider and avid cyclist to raise funds for American Diabetes Association. Ride will start in Lenoir City and go through Loudon and Roane counties. Each route will loop back to the start/finish line where riders can recharge with a meal and other activities. World-renowned professional cyclist Kent Bostick, holder of 12 national titles and two world, will participate.
