Estus, ex-college AD, is new CAK girls soccer head coach


Christian Academy of Knoxville recently introduced Ried Estus as its new high school girls soccer head coach and assistant principal.

Estus (pictured right) brings 25 years experience in coaching and athletic administration at both the college and high school levels.

He served as athletics director at Lees-McRae College, Banner Elk, N.C., since 1994. There Estus oversaw an 18-sport NCAA Division II program, producing 39 conference tournament champions.

From 1987-2000, Estus also coached Lees-McRae’s women’s soccer team, winning six conference tourney championships with a 199-82-8 overall record.


Estus also spent nine years on various regional ranking committees of the NJCAA, NAIA and NCAA, where he produced 11 All-American and 13 All-South athletes.
