What do you think about a Town-schools liaison?

Following years of Farragut leaders proclaiming the Town “is not in the school business,” a new liaison between Town leaders and Farragut schools has been formed. What do you think? Could such an alliance forge better curriculum in Farragut schools? Would possible Town dollars significantly improve these schools? Does Farragut need to look ahead at possibly having its own schools system? Or would any benefit be offset by having less budget dollars for other Town necessities? Could the Town be drawn in to school-related funding and commitments to the point of needing new revenue sources such as a Town property tax?
