FPS students become young Warhols
- Thu, Jun, 25, 2009
Kenzie Loving, and the rest of Farragut Primary School art teacher Melanie Hammond’s second-grade students spent the later part of the school year learning to draw pop art Andy Warhol style — and learning about community involvement. Hammond had each student bring in a can of soup, then taught the students to draw the can in imitation of Warhol’s 1962 series of Campbell’s Soup Cans. Upon completion of the project, the students then donated the soup to FISH Hospitality Pantries.
