Two Rivers to host fireworks
Heather Mays - Thu, Jul, 2, 2009
Two Rivers Church will host its annual “Fireworks @ the Junction” event Friday, July 3, on the church grounds.
The always well-attended fireworks show just outside Farragut town limits will begin at 7 p.m., and fireworks will kick off at dusk.
The church will provide food such as hot dogs and ice cream, games for the kids and music throughout the event, but attendees are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
All are invited to attend the event.
Two Rivers, a plant from from Knoxville Fellowship Church, began meeting at Farragut High School more than 10 years ago.
Dec. 17, 2006, the church had its first service at its home in Dixie Lee Junction, a place chosen because of its unique location.
“We’re reaching people both from West Knoxville and from Loudon County. It’s kind of a unique location,” Steve Pridmore, family life pastor, told farragutpress in a previous interview.
“Since we moved onto the property here, we’ve more than doubled just in the past couple of years in attendance. We’ve sort of experienced explosive growth here,” he added.
For more information, contact the church, 275 Harrison Lane, at 865-777-2121.
