Bearden’s Norman to play college soccer in Virginia

Scott Norman, former Bearden High School standout soccer defender, recently signed with Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, Va., with parents Tim and Kim Norman present.
Norman was named first-team All-District 4-AAA and second-team All-Region 2-AAA in 2009 in helping lead the SoccerDawgs to yet another Class AAA state tournament berth. Norman also was a member of four-time Division 1 state champion KFC Liverpool 91 club team.
Robert Ssejjemba, Virginia Intermont coach, said of Norman, “Scott is bringing a great presence to our backline and will give us a lot of options in that area.”
