Burchett to keynote Chamber breakfast

Burchett
State Sen. Tim Burchett (R-District 7) will be keynote speaker at Farragut West Knox Chamber of Commerce’s next breakfast, Tuesday, July 21.

“As a native Knoxvillian, it is always great to be able to speak with folks I grew up with,” Burchett said.

“I will be talking about the legislative session that’s just ended and briefly about my upcoming Knox County mayoral race,” he added.

“We are anxious to have him speak because he serves as a senator and is also running for mayor of Knox County,” Chamber president and CEO Bettye Sisco said.

“We’ve been planning this one some time and we’re thrilled he … is coming,” she added.

The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Fox Den Country Club. Burchett will speak following a full breakfast bar, and there will be a short question-and-answer time.

“We’re getting great response and it should be a pretty full house,” Sisco said. The last day for reservations is Thursday, July 16.

Reservations can be made online at www.farragutchamber.com or by calling 865-675-7057. Cost is $25 for Chamber members or $35 for non-members.

“In general, we have three to four [breakfast series] a year with outstanding people within our community,” Sisco said. “We encourage speakers who can give us more information about our community’s growth potential and future,” she added.

Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam will address the Chamber at a breakfast in the fall.
