KCS superintendent visits FPS

Knox County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim McIntyre, right, paid a visit to Farragut Primary School Wednesday, Aug. 19. McIntyre, seen here at the conclusion of his visit with District 6 Board of Education member Thomas Deakins and FPS principal Julia Craze, visited the school as part of a two-week, 10-school tour he will make this term. McIntyre said he was on hand at the beginning of the school day to open car doors for students, read morning announcements and visit students in their classrooms. The superintendent, Craze and Deakins chatted about traffic patterns the school was using and issues that had arisen from the traffic plan. Craze said the original pattern had been altered slightly on campus, but the plan as a whole seemed to be working as well as could be expected.
