• Aug. 15: A Nassau Drive woman advised Knox County Sheriff’s officer Jill Breeden an unknown suspect stole a set of golf clubs from her open garage.

• Aug. 15: KCSO officer Jeffrey Monroe responded to a residence off Yarnell Road on report of a burglary. Victim stated he was missing a weed eater and a logging chain from his garage, but he had no suspect information. Victim stated a witness had called him to say he had seen an unknown suspect take the items from the garage Aug. 12. Witness stated the suspect left the scene in a dark green early-1990s model Ford Ranger and headed east.


• Aug. 17: A Windham Hill Road woman advised KCSO officer Pamela Wyrick an unknown suspect stole her purse, containing $200, credit cards, checks, keys and drivers’ license from her unlocked vehicle, parked in her open garage.

• Aug. 17: KCSO officer Jason Moyers was dispatched to a residence off Everett Road on report of a burglary. Victim stated he noticed a small white sedan in his driveway when he returned to his residence. Victim stated he asked the unknown suspect what he was doing, and the suspect replied “nothing.” Victim stated suspect then got into his vehicle and fled the scene, toward Smith Road. Victim stated suspect did not take anything from his residence, although suspect had placed his coin collection in a bag but left it in the residence.

• Aug. 17: KCSO officer Kenneth Aken responded to a residence off Batter Hill Court on report of a burglary. Victim told officers she had left her garage door open about a foot for her dogs when she left her home that morning. When she returned home, the garage door was closed. Victim opened the garage door to find the door to her house had been kicked in. Officers checked the residence. Victim told officers the only thing disturbed was her jewelry box; she was missing two rings. Victim did not have suspect information.

• Aug. 17: A Plumb Creek Circle woman advised KCSO officer P.J. Lambert an unknown suspect broke the window in his vehicle and stole two handbags, clothes and furs, craft supplies and work papers.

• Aug. 18: A Wyndham Hall Lane woman advised KCSO officer Andy Scalf her purse was stolen from her garage at home, or from Farragut Animal Clinic off Kingston Pike. Victim also advised unknown suspect used her debit card to make a $150 purchase and attempted to withdraw $200 at an ATM machine four times.

• Aug. 18: KCSO officer Kenneth Aken responded to a location off Snyder Road on report of an automobile accident. Suspect struck a vehicle on Campbell Station Road near the Interstate-40/75 underpass, then drove to the Super 8 Motel off Snyder Road. Suspect told officers he hit the vehicle and drove to the motel because there “wasn’t a lot of damage.” Suspect was given a misdemeanor citation.
