Buffalo Wild Wing plans OKd

Buffalo Wild Wing will be opening in Farragut at 11431 Parkside Drive behind Red Robin restaurant in Turkey Creek.

The restaurant will be moving into an already-constructed shopping center, in which Belk currently is located.

Farragut Municipal Planning Commission discussed the design of the building at its meeting, Thursday, Aug. 20, since Buffalo Wild Wing plans to change already-approved landscaping to outdoor seating.

They are converting some landscaped area to an outdoor seating area which is located immediately to the west of this building, Community Development Director Ruth Hawk said.

The outdoor seating will be in an enclosed patio near take-out parking spaces.

Vice Mayor Dot LaMarche asked when the restaurant planned to open.

As fast as possible, Jay Allen, vice president of construction for Buffalo Wild Wings, said. If all goes well, he added, the restaurant should be open by first quarter 2010.

Were looking forward to coming to Farragut, Colleen Atwood, architect, said.

Buffalo Wild Wing has two other locations in the greater Knoxville area, in Alcoa and near The University of Tennessee.

Its a company based out of Minneapolis. We have about a thousand stores across the country, Allen said.

FMPC unanimously approved the site plan for the restaurant.
