• Aug. 29: KCSO officer Allison Christopher responded to an automobile accident off Kingston Pike at Federal Boulevard. Two vehicles were traveling west on Kingston Pike, and stopped at the red light at Federal Boulevard. When vehicle one stopped, vehicle two rear-ended it. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

• Aug. 30: Knox County Sheriff’s officer John Engwall was dispatched to Baptist Hospital West on report of an automobile accident. Victim advised he lost control of his vehicle the night before at a curve in the road at Champion Point in Farragut. Passenger of the vehicle suffered a concussion and both victim and passenger were taken to the hospital.

• Aug. 30: KCSO officer Ben Hibbert responded to a shoplifting call at Kohls Department Store off Kingston Pike. Store security stated he observed arrestee walk out of the store without paying for various items of clothing. Total cost of merchandise was $420.90. Arrestee was misdemeanor cited.

• Sept. 1: A Windham Hill Road woman advised KCSO officer Cathy Norris her husband had lost his Taiwanese passport. They were not sure when this occurred, but had been informed they had to file a report before getting another passport.

• Sept. 2: A Laurel Ridge Lane woman advised KCSO officer Jill Breeden an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and stole her purse, containing credit cards, gift cards, licenses and certificates, checkbook, cell phone and social security card. Complainant said there was no forced entry.

• Sept. 2: KCSO officer Bobby Law responded to Blue Ridge Mountain Sports off Kingston Pike on report of a forgery. Complainant stated the known suspect came to the store and passed two checks from a closed bank account. One check was written for $1,269.31; the other for $707.89.
