• Farragut High School junior second baseman Nikki Delmonico and FHS junior pitcher Philip Pfeifer, both Class AAA All-state honorees helping lead the Admirals to back-to-back state tiles, are the only high school teammates in the nation named to the 20-man 18-and-under United States National Baseball Team for a Pan American tournament. The team will compete in Barquismeto, Venezuela, Sept. 24-Oct. 4.

• Fourth Annual ESK 5-K Run/Walk will begin at 8 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, in the Cove subdivision in Turkey Creek. Divisions for both male and female runners are: 11 and under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Cost of running is $20 for early sign-ups and $30 for registration the day of the race. Online and postmark deadline for early registration is Oct 1. • Bearden High School Baseball team is having a Fund-Raising Golf Tournament Saturday, Oct. 24, at Willow Creek Golf Club. Registration will be at 8 a.m. Cost is $125 per player or $450 for a team of four. Breakfast will be provided. Hole-in-One event included. • Town of Farragut Parks and Leisure Services Department Fall Kickball Tournament begins at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, at Mayor Bob Leonard Park off Watt Road. Open to participants 21 and older; consists of coed teams with eight to 12 players each. Each team guaranteed four games. Tournament limited to first eight teams registered. Registration ends Friday, Oct. 2, or until the first eight teams are registered. • Cadillac Invitational Golf Tournament benefiting the National Kidney Foundation of East Tennessee will be held at Holston Hills Country Club Monday, Sept. 28. • In memory of Jerry Hatmaker, Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. & Allied Toyotalift will host the Annual Goodwill Golf Classic from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 19, at Holston Hills County Club. A putting contest begins at 11 a.m. Pictures with Pearl, head coach of Tennessee Volunteers men's basketball team, begin at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit March of Dimes Golf for Babies.
